On arrival in Picton you will be met by your Guide and board your transport for your Tour. Your Guide will brief you on the day's events and procedures, before we embark on your trail. |

Description:
When leaving the boat you will be driven through the beautiful ‘Marlborough country’ side to the award winning wineries of the ‘Wairau Plains’. Your host will give you a full commentary of the ‘History’ and ‘Heritage’ of our region, whilst walking through the vineyards and tasting some of the wonderful Marlborough Wines.
Marlborough is one of the fastest growing wine regions in New Zealand. There is evidence that the first grapes were planted in 1870 and the first exportation of wine was in 1963. Nowadays Marlborough wineries have worldwide interest, especially the Sauvignon Blanc.
Your 'café lunch' will be at the winery restaurant “The Village”, which is renowned for its Boutique wines, Olive oils, Prenzels liqueurs, schnapps, and Arts and Crafts.
After lunch we will visit another winery and before heading back to Picton, we stop at ‘Boutique Chocolate factory’ to watch handmade chocolates being made and to taste some samples, then on to the Port of Picton to board your boat and conclude this day’s excursion. |
